Configuring ClouDNS with HC panel allows you to automate DNS management directly from a single interface. You can create, update, and manage DNS records by connecting your ClouDNS account with HC panel without switching between platforms.
This article provides step-by-step instructions to configure ClouDNS with HC Panel.
Following are the steps to configure ClouDNS with HC Panel.
1. Sign up for a new account in ClouDNS
- Sign up for Premium M Plan or Enterprise Plan.
Note: Free DNS does not work with HC panel.
2. Add Reseller Users in ClouDNS
After signing up for a supported plan, you need to create users that HC Panel will use to communicate with ClouDNS.
- Log in to your ClouDNS account.
- Navigate to the API & Resellers section from the dashboard.
- Click Add New User and fill in the required details for the new user.
- Enter auth-password and IP address for the user and click Save.
Note: Now the remaining operations need to be performed on the HC Panel.
3. Enable Cloud DNS in HC Panel
Enable the DNS server in Cloud Services and select Cloud DNS as a service provider.
- Login to HC Panel as an admin.
- Navigate to Configurations and click Cluster Settings under Server Manager.
- Open Cloud Services Tab under Manage Cluster Settings and click DNS Server to expand.
- Enable the Status checkbox to enable DNS Servers and select Cloud DNS as service provider.
4. Configure ClouDNS in HC Panel
- Navigate to Configurations and click Servers under Server Manager.
- Click +New Server and select Cloud Services.
- Enter the required details of the newly created API user while configuring ClouDNS in HC panel as shown below:
- Click Check Connectivity to ensure the Cloud DNS API connects successfully.
when you see the success message, it indicates that the Cloud DNS API has been successfully connected.
