How to Customize and Brand the Exsign Portal Login Page

Overview:

This article guides you through the steps to change default images and apply branding to the Exsign Portal’s main login page. This customization allows you to personalize your portal’s appearance by replacing logos, banners, or background images.
 


Steps to Change or Brand the Exsign Portal Login Page:
1. Locate the Default Image Folder
  • Navigate to the following path on the server where Exsign is installed:
  • C:\Program Files\ExSign Portal\Portal\wwwroot\themes\default\images
  • This directory contains all the default images used on the Exsign portal.
     
     

2. Backup the Default Folder
  • Before making any changes, create a backup of the default folder by copying and saving it elsewhere.
  • This ensures you can revert to the original images if needed.
3. Replace the Desired Images
  • Replace any image(s) in the default folder with your custom branding images.
  • Make sure your new images use the same file names and formats to avoid display issues.
4. Update the Text on the Login Page

To modify the page title and other textual settings on the login screen, open the following configuration file:

  • C:\Program Files\ExSign Portal\Portal\appsettings.json
  • Look for the theme folder name under the configuration settings.
  • Replace the folder name from default to your new folder name (e.g., Branding).

5. Verify Changes
  • Save the configuration file.
  • Open your browser and go to the Exsign portal login page.
  • You should now see the updated branding/images you applied.

  • Ensure the image dimensions are optimized for the web to avoid slow load times.
  • Keep file names and extensions consistent when replacing existing files.
  • Restart IIS or the Exsign service if changes do not reflect immediately.
