This article focuses on using O365 connectors to stamp emails before sending them to recipients. Additionally, it provides guidelines for adding rules to prevent stamping on Out of Office emails.

Prerequisites to creating Connectors: To complete the steps described below, you will need to have “Microsoft 365 Global Administrator credentials”.
Connector: From O365 to ExSign Agent
This connector is designed to route outbound emails from Microsoft 365 Exchange Online to the ExSign Agent for stamping.
- Sign in to the Exchange Online admin portal (https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com) as an Administrator.
- From the left-hand side, click Mail flow, then select Connectors.
Add a New Connector
- Specify Mail Flow:
- Provide Connector Name:
- The connector will be used when a Transport rule is configured to redirect emails
- It specifies the smart host as the next hop for outbound emails. This is the on-premises server where your ExSign Agent is installed.
- Security options to specify whether to use Secure channel or not.

- Validate an active mailbox which exists on the mail server. Enter any valid email address for validation.

- Review the connector settings and click create connector.
Connector: From ExSign Agent to O365
This connector facilitates the transfer of processed emails from the ExSign Agent to Microsoft 365 Exchange Online.
- From the left-hand side, click Mail flow, then select Connectors.
Add a New Connector
- Specify the mail flow ‘Your Organization’s email server’ to O365.
- Enter the name of the connector.
- Provide the IP address of the machine where your Exsign agent is running.
Rule 1: Prevent Out of Office messages from being sent to ExSign Agent.
- From the left-hand side, click Mail flow, then select Rules.
Create a New Rule and set the conditions as shown in the screenshot below:
- Set the priority to High in the setting tab.
Rule 2: Identify messages to send to ExSign Agent
Before creating this rule, you need to create a security-enabled distribution list in Office 365. Add only those email addresses that you want to be delivered to the ExSign Agent server for stamping.
- From the left-hand side, click Mail flow, then select Rules.
Create a New Rule and set the conditions as demonstrated in the screenshot below:
Note: The security-enabled distribution list must be specified in the ‘is a member of this group’ option.
- In the Exceptions section, include the conditions as illustrated in the screenshot below:
- Its priority should be less than rule 1.
