Problem: How do I take backup or restore the ADSync configurations?

Resolution: AD Connect Sync configurations will be backed up for restoration by exporting the registry values of the HCDirSync utility as shown in the below screenshot:

Note: Same settings can be restored on the same AD or a remote AD machine by merging the registry key backup taken as shown in the above screenshot.
