How to install SSL Certificate on a Name Base Website using HCnix Panel

Question: How to install & configure SSL Certificate on Shared IP based website using HCnix ?

Answer:

Make sure that your Apache Web server supports SNI extension and the web browser also supports SNI.
Note: Almost all new Linux Operating Systems support it.

  1. Login to HCnix and go to Cluster Configuration :: Cluster Settings  and enable "Name Based SSL Using SNI" under Web server role.

  2. Now enable "Name Based SSL Using SNI" under Web server role configurations at this path Cluster Configuration :: Manage Servers :: My Servers :: Edit Server :: Web Server.

  3. Both "Named Based SSL Using SNI" and Dedicated SSL can be installed by following the same path i.e. Website Services :: Manage SSL :: Manage Dedicated SSL.

  4. To generate the CSR file for the domain navigate to path Website Services :: Manage SSL :: Manage Dedicated SSL :: Generate CSR and once it is generated successfully then acquire a certificate from a CA (Certificate Authority) against the CSR.

  5. Install that SSL Certificate by following this path Website Services :: Manage SSL :: Manage Dedicated SSL :: Install SSL Certificate.
