Question: How to configure Mail Delivery in HC panel?
Solution:
There are 2 ways to deliver mails through HC:
- Direct Delivery Method
- Mail Authentication Method
Direct Delivery: To deliver mails through Direct Delivery, please follow these steps:
Go to menu Panel Configuration :: Configure Services :: Mail Delivery Settings from host level in HC panel and specify the following information:
DNS Server: Here enter your DNS server you need to provide Live IP address of your DNS Server or Name Server.
From Address: Specify sender's address in this field.
Send Test Email: Select this checkbox to send an e-mail for testing purposes.
From Address: Specify sender's address in this field.
To Address: Specify recipient's address in this field.
SMTP Delivery: To deliver mails through SMTP Delivery method, please follow these steps:
Go to menu Panel Configuration :: Configure Services :: Mail Delivery Settings from host level in HC panel and fill in the following details:
SMTP Server: Here correctly specify your SMTP server, you need to provide machine IP where mail server is running or provide HC database server IP address.
From Address: Specify sender's address in this field.
SMTP Authentication: Here specify valid user name and password.
Send Test Email: Select this checkbox to send an e-mail for testing purposes.
From Address: Specify sender's address in this field.
To Address: Specify recipient's address in this field.
If send test email is not working after configuring the correct mail delivery settings, then enable the HC Mail Deliver logs from Administrative Tools :: Manage System :: Debug Settings at host level in HC panel.
After following these steps; on new user or domain creation, HC will create logs at HC installation folder: X:\Hosting Controller\log, which can be send to HC support for troubleshooting the issue.
Note: If server is behind firewall then make sure ports 25 and 110 is open for incoming and outgoing request.
