Error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation : The server is unwilling to process the request.

Problem: In HCObjSync logs getting error “Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.” as shown in the below screenshot:


Reason: This error occurs when the user password does not satisfy the password Complexity requirement configured on Cloud DC.

Resolution:  Change the user password on Local DC according to the password complexity requirement which is configured on Cloud AD and then run Sync service.

Then you must perform the following tasks to resolve the above error.
  1. Open Local AD and access the password policy in GPO.
  2. Open Cloud AD and access the password policy in GPO.
  3. Ensure that the password policies on both Local and Cloud AD matches.
  4. Once they are matched, you can try to Sync the new user from local to cloud AD through the AD connect Sync tool.
